Born and raised in Athens, Greece, Spyros graduated from Athens College in 1984, moved the same year to
Montreal and went on to earn his bachelor's degree in International Relations and Economics from McGill
University in 1988.
Later in 1988 Spyros started his shipping career, first as a marine consultant and since 1992 as a senior
executive for various shipping companies in Montreal, concentrating in tanker management and chartering
services for major shipowners, oil companies and chemical producers.
In 1997 Spyros founded B & K Tankers Inc., a shipping company that specialized in the marine
transportation of crude oil, refined petroleum products, chemicals and Kaolin clay slurry.
In 2004 he moved to Phoenix and in March 2005 he was awarded an M.B.A. equivalency in Marketing &
Transportation Management by Pace University, NY.
Spyros is the founder and owner of Global Tanker Services, LLC, a private Arizona company established in
2005.
